Sandra De Taranto - Author
Donna Laird has written a story cut straight from the cloth of Middle America. If you like picking up a book and feeling that you've just peeked through the window on your elusive next-door neighbor's house. Then this is the book for you. Imagine finding out that your neighbor has had tragedy after tragedy after tragedy thrown into the path she calls life.

After loosing everyone who's ever meant anything to her, Katrina flees to nearby Denver to start a new life. Where she incurs more heartbreak in the form of Noah Anderson aka Parker who up and disappears, leaving Katrina alone and pregnant. Well, of course, Katrina and Noah are going to reappear in each other's lives again, and just days after Katrina gives birth to a baby girl. You'll have to read the book to find out if Katrina finally gets a break and is able to live happily ever after with Noah and baby Molly, though.

For those who enjoy the everyday, slice-of-life romances…Katrina's Destiny is a recommended read! Buy the book (along with a box of Kleenex), sit back and get ready to shed tears of sorrow and joy. You'll be glad you did.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to see romance in a different light.

Katrina and Noah are fated to be together, although they travel an uphill road to each others arms. Just when you think they reach their destiny to be together, the couple is faced with yet another barrier to keep apart, adding a unique suspense to this novel. Donna Laird has resurrected her outstanding talents, once again, with this novel of family, friendship, and mostly true love.

Never before has an author captured my attention, and stirred my emotions in their writing as Ms. Laird did in Katrina’s Destiny. If you enjoyed her novel “Forever Yours”, you will fall in love with “Katrina’s Destiny” Katrina’s Destiny drew me into its pages, as I experienced Katrina’s loss of those dearest to her heart. Destined to make a new start, Katrina assumes another name as she travels away from Rambling Hills to Denver.
With little money, and her heart on her sleeve, she sets out alone along a journey filled with romance, passion, and deceit. Full of twists and turns, as well as surprising events, I was captivated by this exceptional author’s storytelling abilities. Ms. Laird’s novels leave the reader begging for yet another book to appear in print. I anxiously await the next novel from this wonderful author.

Barlow was raised by her grandmother after her parents died in a tragic airplane accident. When her grandmother dies, Katrina is left with no one. Necessity forces her to sell the house she grew up in but sorrow forces her to leave the only familiar town in her life. Led to Denver, Colorado, Katrina leaves behind small town life, hoping to start over. When a young man named Noah takes an interest in Katrina, she willingly becomes involved in a five-month relationship that will result in a beautiful little girl. The problem is, Noah disappears before he knows that Katrina is pregnant.
Alone and expecting a child, Katrina returns home to raise her child among old friends. When Noah shows up unexpectedly, Katrina must forgive his faults or else risk being miserable and alone for the rest of her life. In her novel, "Katrina's Destiny," Donna Laird has created an emotional love story. Katrina is an incredibly easy character to love. I felt all of her troubles deep in my own heart. I longed for her to find the strength to make it through the bad times because I knew that if she followed her heart it would lead her to happiness. Katrina's destiny is not found easily, but the rough spots in the road turn out to be well worth it.

Katrina’s Destiny by Donna Laird is a romance novel in the truest sense of the word. From the very beginning when Noah walked into the shop and saw Katrina, sparks began to fly. When Katrina fell in love with Noah, he decided he wasn't ready for a serious relationship so he left without a word. Too late, Katrina finds out she is pregnant with Noah’s child. She goes back home to have the baby.

Since she has been away the town has gotten a new sheriff. When Katrina meets him she finds out he is Noah’s brother. Noah comes to town to take over the practice of the retiring doctor and finds Katrina and Molly, his new daughter. The campaign begins for Noah to try and win Katrina back. He vows he has never stopped loving her and now he loves Molly as well. Katrina finally consents to become his wife.

When Noah’s mother shows up at the wedding, she causes a scene. Will Katrina and Noah be able to survive his mother? Will the marriage work? Most importantly of all, will Katrina, Noah and Molly finally become a family? These are questions that are answered by reading Katrina’s Destiny by Donna Laird. I do recommend Katrina’s Destiny to anyone who likes romance novels. Truly a great read.

Donna Laird's, Katrina's Destiny is a tribute to true love! For anyone who likes happy endings, Katrina and Noah come through in a big way for the reader. From the first page to the last, a story of love, loss, family and friends leaps from these pages and gives the reader an bird's eye view of what falling in love is all about. From Noah's brothers to Katrina's friends, everyone becomes family to one another in some way. I found myself rooting for these characters. I loved every second of this book. I absorbed every morsel of thought and feeling that is pressed between these pages. Bravo Donna! Brilliant!!

Katrina Barlow dried her eyes at the end of the funeral of her grandmother. Renee Barlow had been her only family since her parents had been killed in a plane crash when Katrina was just five years-old. The memories of losing them seemed to come back to her after these eighteen years and now with the loss of her grandmother she was all alone. She decided it was best for her to make a new start and with the help of her Renee's lawyer, she left the selling of the house and all it's furnishings to him and headed away from Rambling Hills and head for Denver. She was able to find a nice apartment and a job in the local department store. Though it was not the ideal job still it did have advantages. It was where she met the handsome young Noah Anderson. He had come in to buy a gift for his mother and just happened to have Katrina help him. There was something about this man that made her heart to skip a beat. After their first luncheon date it was clear that Katrina was not against seeing him again.

They soon began to see each other more, not on the town but quiet evenings at home where they could just relax together. Then for no reason Noah was gone, he left no reason only that he had to leave. Katrina was heartbroken but soon found out she was pregnant. With no other choice she decided to go back home to Rambling Hills and stay with her childhood friend Angie. Angie's grandmother owned a lodge and they both were delighted to have her and little Molly stay with them. Determined to raise Molly alone Katrina never in her wildest dreams would know that Noah Parker the new doctor was indeed her Noah. Young Dr. Parker was delighted with the fact that he was a father and was willing to marry Katrina, yet all the reasons were not there, well not for Katrina or so she thought.

A novel that is worth reading as you feel that no matter what these two are destined for each other. The secondary characters are well used throughout the story and gives us the feeling that there will be another book to bring them out more. HINT HINT I loved the story and do hope to see more of this author's works.
